This single-story small house has two entrances: one on the north side and the other on the south side, although currently, only the south entrance is accessible as the main entry point. SM House is designed with an open-plan concept for the living room, which serves as the main space and allows for access from both sides. This living room serves as the focal point for the owner's activities.
The client's requirement for the house was to maintain privacy from the surrounding environment. Therefore, the facade facing the street does not have any windows, except for those in the living room. Natural light and air circulation are provided through the central courtyard, which serves as the main focal point for the house's opening orientations.
